Given the banks of photographers on hand who appear to have been savvy enough to be in the right place at the right time to document the anarchic fracas, as seen in your link, you'd think Her Maj's finest could have rustled up a plod or two to intervene.

ross: after the last rally-turned-riot, london had full police deployment this time, trust me. problem is, when you have a police force numbered in the hundreds vs. a mob measured in the hundreds of thousands, what are you gonna do?
