i see all these gay bloggers (and their commenters) agonizing endlessly over whether michael phelps is pretty enough to merit their interest, and i smile--talk about knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing*.

nah, I was too wrapped up in sharing *my* point, lol.
He's truly an American Hero, and fine specimen to the swimming world, blah, blah blah. Believe me, I can see far past the aesthetics of the package to appreciate its' worth.

Was watching a Mexican channel down here and The Man from Atlantis pops up and mumbles some comment in Spanish. This was a few days before the Olympics, right? Frizzy hair, face acne and unshaven, crooked teeth. I asked what all the uproar was myself. But now that I have seen him in action spashing around - I wouldn't kick him outta bed for eating cookies. Tall, lithe, long nose and big feet...you know what THAT means...

MKF's point, if I may paraphrase, is that the hub-ub over this guy on/in the gay blog-o-sphere is so much wind. Most bloggers wouldn't see the shadow of a Mr. Phelps, much less the chance to kick him outta bed. AS IF. Sorry, MKF, I don't write as good as you with a few in me, I tried.
