it's a sickness

.
the other day a co-worker was lamenting over some horrific occurrence she had recently endured, and, rather than commiserate, my first thought was, "lucky bitch--this happened to me, i'd have blog-fodder for weeks."

[and look--i still managed to get a post out of it]

To quote La Rochefoucauld: We all have strength enough to endure the misfortunes of others.

As I have ruefully stated - a blogger lives the sad truth just like anybody else. The only difference is, a blogger files a report on it.

[i have received two marvelous comments to a meager post which deserved neither--which renders my delay in responding to both all the more unforgivable.

sorry guys--i was otherwise occupied]

hubbard: please continue to elevate my drunken crap with comments that make references to guys with fancy french names that died a long time ago--that shit makes my dick hard.

luis: i love that observation, always have; however, i would add the following corollary: "the dedicated blogger comes to live for misery, just so he can file a report on it."

i think that was my point.
