So, Mike, noblesavage (above) never joined the nascent discussion on your contention that high technological achievement in a society means that creativity in the arts declines. I put the Second Empire in France on the table and am prepared to discuss another people whose advances in technology were accompanied by pretty dazzling achievements in art and architecture (where art and technology must walk hand in hand), poetry, music, etc. I really would like to hear more from you on the subject because I believe you know that I value your opinions.
Wha' happened? No posts for 2+ weeks? I miss reading your writings, ramblings, etc.
Mike, are you OK. It's a weekend and one and one half days since the downgrade of the AAA rating and huge spike in the price of gold. I expected a lot of comment from you by this time!
