because sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words

.

[or, in this case, the inspired juxtaposition of two.]

say what you want about drudge, that fucker knows exactly what he's doing--and is really, really good at it.

I like the DRUDGE REPORT. Check in on it everyday. He's a closeted homo I heard though, but refuses to come out due to his conservative views/site.

So, Matt Drudge throws up a picture of Obama riding a bicycle with a helmet and smiling next to a dour Putin with a gun....and we're supposed to believe what? That Putin can kick Obama's ass?

This is the type of below the belt bullshit that has everything to do with the state of political divisions in this country today.

We do not have worthy adversaries that we respect anymore. We have mortal enemies that must be destroyed.

This is not a good thing.

wat: matt drudge is a strange, tortured, reclusive individual who found his niche online--i.e., he's just like me, only successful.

noblesavage: you completely missed the point. those pictures weren't chosen to inflame or influence anybody; on the contrary, they were meant to touch a nerve that's already raw.

that little tableau brings into sharp, eloquent relief what most of the world is quickly waking up to: that, in comparison to tough, tried-by-fire, pragmatic leaders who are currently ruthlessly and unapologetically preparing their own countries for the upcoming global apocalypse, the american president is a soft, pampered academician babe-in-the-woods apologist who's too arrogant to know he's about to have his (along with our) ass handed to him on the world stage.

but to be fair to mr. obama, this pair of snapshots could also just as easily represent soft, pampered america vis a vis the rest of the world--we really have no basis for understanding what's about to hit us.

I just hope in the coming crisis, that there will still be good take-out available.
